• La di da di da, la di da di da, What's the name of that song?

  One of the things that I like about music...oddly, is that you can really only appreciate it if you speak the language that the words were written it. Translating it doesn't usually work, somehow. Oh sure, you can appreciate the beat and the flow and all the fun bits in between, but the meaning of the song is lost if you can't understand the words. I'm not sure why I like this about music. I guess it's because it makes it that much more personal. Somehow knowing that fewer people can understand it makes it apply to fewer people and feel more...intimate. Like the artist had an insight to your brain and wrote what you couldn't.
